Dappled Dart Moth (Anaplectoides pressus)
This species is widely distributed in boreal and montane North America with a similar range as species in many related genera. It occurs from central Alaska to the island of Newfoundland in the north, and south to Ohio in the East, northern Minnesota and southern Manitoba in the central Continent, and to northern New Mexico in the Rocky Mountains. It is replaced by Anaplectoides brunneomedia in the Appalachian mountains. A broad generalist feeding on many kinds of hardwoods and herbaceous vegetation in such families as Caprifoliaceae, Salicaceae, Betulaceae, Valerianaceae, and Fabaceae.
